Dear Moody College of Business Students,

On this St. Patrick’s Day, I want to first share how lucky we are to have you as a Moody Business student. I know you are faced with daily uncertainties about what the future may hold and I want to assure you that our faculty and staff are keeping your well-being and academic success as our highest priority.

Remote learning begins Wednesday, March 18. Our faculty are working diligently to prepare to teach you remotely. They will be communicating directly with you about how your class will be taught and what testing will look like moving forward later today or tomorrow. In this communication, faculty will be asking you to respond to confirm you received the instructions. It is important that you respond as quickly as you can. If you have not heard from a professor by Thursday morning, please contact them to request an update. If you do not hear from your professor by Thursday, please send an e-mail with specifics on the situation including course prefix, number, and section along with name of professor and what your issue is to Moody Business Office of Student Services at studentservices@louisiana.edu.

We know moving to remote learning will come with challenges and the experience will be different than your face to face class. We expect bumps and hurdles for both our students and faculty. As the semester continues, faculty will review what is working well and what improvements can be made so they can modify their remote teaching plans to create a better learning experience for you. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please share them with your professor.

It is crucial that you check your University email and Moodle courses regularly for any messages or updates. If you need help, or do not have the technology to support remote learning, please reach out to your professor or department head. We are here to support you and adapt together.

Below are updates on advising and resources to help you during the transition to remote learning.
