Gabriela Barlabe has received the Outstanding Master’s Graduate Award for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration for the Spring 2016 semester.

Barlabe has maintained a 3.88 cumulative GPA throughout the course of her studies in the MBA program and was previously recognized as the Outstanding Graduate for the Management Department for the Fall 2013 semester. She currently serves as a graduate assistant in the department of management.

Barlabe currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the MBA Association and is a member of Ragin’ Cajun Catholics. Aside from her dedication on campus, Barlabe has also volunteered at catholic retreats in the local community and in her home country of Guatemala.

This past March, Barlabe placed first in the International Student Vertech City Competition in Belgium, where she and her group presented a waste management project and business plan. 

After graduation, Barlabe hopes to work for a multinational company in the United States and eventually move back to Guatemala to start her own business. She also wishes to earn a marketing master’s degree.
