UL Lafayette’s Kappa Theta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, an accounting fraternity for business majors, placed first in the 2016 Southwest Regional Meeting’s Best Practices Competition in the Leadership and Management Category on March 4-5 in Houston, Tx.

Team members from the Gold Chapter status student organization presented topics detailing ways the chapter is successful in fundraising, recruiting and retaining members, succession planning, and obtaining higher chapter statues. They also reviewed how the Kappa Theta Chapter defines leadership and management based on the chapter philosophy and what the chapter has done in the past year to differentiate or combine the two traits into chapter activities.

The team, consisting of students Shelbi King, Nick Saloom and Cassie Dauzat, will now compete at the Annual Beta Alpha Psi Meeting in August in Baltimore, Ma. with the first place winners from other Beta Alpha Psi regions.
