The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is a partner in a new initiative that aims to help small businesses grow.
Elisabeth Kolb is the Spring 2017 Outstanding Overall Graduate and the Outstanding Graduate for the Department of Marketing and Hospitality Management.
While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Kolb has been awarded many scholarships including the Fleur-de-Lis International Scholarship, the Ragin’ Hospitality Scholarship and the Kenneth W. Hall Scholarship. She also won the Most Spirited Committee Award with the UL Residence Hall Association in the fall of 2013. She helped international students succeed at UL Lafayette as an International Ambassador for the Office of International Affairs.
Kolb has also held many office positions in the UL Ragin’ Hospitality Association, first as secretary, then as vice-president, and now as president of the organization. As a member, she volunteered for many local events such as Hospice of Acadiana’s annual thrift sale and “Boo at the Zoo” for the Zoo of Acadiana. She was also the team captain of the UL Intermural Beach Volleyball team in the spring of 2014 and 2017. Kolb also traveled to Orlando, Florida to complete an internship with the Disney College Program in the spring of 2016.
As she pursues a career in the hotel industry, she is currently interviewing for a Lodging Management internship with the Walt Disney Company. She is also interviewing for management positions with Park Hyatt and Starwood Hotels.
She is the daughter of Karin and Peter Kolb of Buxheim, Germany.
