INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODS

When available, I integrate the Marketplace Business Simulation Game into my teaching methods.  The use of this simulation serves as a context for applying the concepts introduced in lectures and discussion by challenging the students to open, staff, and market their own company.  My experience in using a mix-method teaching approach has shown that students, even in a Principles course, can achieve more if given an opportunity to make decisions and to learn from their subsequent success and/or failure.
